T&B and ABB Products Win Product of the Year Awards

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 25, 2015 – The prestigious trade publication, Consulting-Specifying Engineer (C-SE), selected ABB’s Circuit Monitoring System (CMS) Sensor Portfolio and T&B® Fittings Non-Metallic Expansion/Deflection Coupling as winners in its 2015 Product of the Year competition.

C-SE selected ABB's CMS Sensor Portfolio for the Gold award and the T&B® Fittings Non-Metallic Expansion/Deflection Coupling for the Silver award in the Electrical Distribution category. Both products will be highlighted in C-SE’s September 2015 issue. C-SE’s announcement is available at This announcement also will appear on the magazine’s website, e-newsletters and social media.

The CMS Sensor Portfolio, winner of the Gold award in the Electrical Distribution category, has been extended with sensors that measure currents up to 160 amps (AC and DC, TRMS), and now can also be installed in almost every environment with any kind of product, for any application that requires monitoring the circuit. CMS sensors also are among the most compact in the market, and are designed for high performance.

The Non-Metallic Expansion/Deflection Coupling, winner of the Silver award in the Electrical Distribution category, improves safety and reduces installation time for joining rigid polyvinylchloride (PVC) conduit that is subject to movement in any direction at structural joints. Its design makes installation up to five times faster, while its versatility enables a five-to-one reduction in stock keeping units (SKUs). The T&B® Fittings Non-Metallic Expansion/Deflection Coupling is manufactured in the United States.

C-SE (circulation 45,697), a CFE Media publication, covers technical and business news for professional engineers who are engaged in the design, specification and product selection of integrated mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and products for commercial, industrial and institutional construction projects, both new and retrofit.
