Thomas & Betts Professionals to Deliver Presentation at “Marketing to Engineers”

MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 27, 2014 – Thomas & Betts Marketing Manager Brit Buchanan and Applications Engineer Leonard Salamida will deliver a presentation, at the “Marketing to Engineers” event to be held March 31 in Chicago. The presentation, “Integrating the Marketing and Engineering Points of View in Marketing Communications,” will be delivered at the Renaissance Hotel at 1:15 p.m., CDT, and will be the first of six presentations about marketing communications by and for engineers.  

CFE Media, publishers of Control Engineering, Consulting – Specifying Engineer and Plant Engineering, is holding the Marketing to Engineers event, now in its third year. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m., CDT at the Renaissance Hotel, with the six presentations running until 5:00 p.m. After a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. will include awards for the Top Plant, Engineers’ Choice, Plant Engineering Leaders Under 40 and Product of the Year. The presentations are free to anyone attending; cocktails and dinner are $95 for each person. 

Brit Buchanan is now in her second year at T&B and supports more than half of the product groups in the Electrical Division. She also managed the marketing launch of eFab™ by Thomas & Betts, T&B’s online tool for the design and selection of pre-assembled electrical box components. 

Leonard Salamida is the lead for T&B’s eFab™ by Thomas & Betts service department, which supports the online design and selection tool. He also is in his second year at T&B, after serving in project management positions with Florida Power and Light and a contracting firm in Miami. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Florida International University.
